The last two weeks at home were pretty good by my standards.  Spent the first week helping family make their appointments or take them shopping.  Then the second week spent working on my guest house.  Finished putting up the drywall in both the walk-in closet and bathroom.  Spraying texture on the walls and then knocking it down to give it a special look.  Came out real well.  The guest house project is really coming along nicely, so we've decided to put in a deck.  Bought a load of treated lumber for the deck on the local black market and at a significant discount.  If the weather continues to be good for at least the next month, the guest house will be ready before the Christmas/New Year holidays. Checked my cell phone and had a missed call from the office.  Seems I have 10 hours of vacation time I have to take or I will lose it.  I was told to take an extra day off.  As I was saying, its been a good two weeks off.

What can I do with an extra day off.  I haven't played a round of golf for the last seven months, so I rewarded myself and went to play a round of 18 holes.  The weather couldn't have been better.......should have been my first clue.  Almost every morning and evening I would ask my wife what was the plan for the day or the next.  The one freaking day that I decide to go play golf before reporting to work the next day...... I  might as well have slept until after lunch every day and watched TV the rest of the time.  All that grief over three and a half measly hours.
